1. Executive Summary
- Vision Statement: To be a respected and inclusive cricket club that serves as a place for cricketing fun and community engagement, nurturing players of all ages and genders while fostering a love for the sport in line with Cricket Victoria’s vision
- Mission Statement: Our cricket club will be based on strong ties to the community, be a place for children to learn cricket, parents to socialise, partners to enjoy. Develop a culture where players support the club and a place which they are proud of to invite family and friends
2. Goals and Objectives
A. On-Field Performance
Goal: Improve competitive performance and success across all teams with true sportsmanship
Objectives:
▪ Encourage your teammates, but don’t sledge opposition
▪ Accept the umpires decision at all times
▪ If umpiring, if it’s out… then give it out
▪ Know the rules and play by them
▪ Play hard, but play fair
B. Player Development
Goal: Cultivate talent and improve player skills from grassroots levels with determination
Objectives:
▪ Train and play hard – get the most out of it
▪ Work on your weaknesses and build on your strengths
▪ Seek advice from your teammates
▪ Work hard until the final ball is bowled
▪ Always give your best for yourself and the team
▪ Establish a mentoring system with senior players for younger members
C. Community Engagement
Goal: Strengthen club’s relationship with the local community
Objectives:
▪ Host community events and charity fundraiser days
▪ Develop partnerships with local schools and organisations to encourage boys and girls from junior age to play cricket
▪ Promote cricket through social media and local media outlets along with the help of Cricket Victoria
D. Financial Sustainability
Goal: Achieve financial stability and ensure sustainable growth
Objectives:
▪ Diversify revenue streams (e.g., sponsorships, memberships, merchandise).
▪ Create and implement a fundraising plan.
▪ Manage budget effectively and control costs
E. Facility Improvement
Goal: Upgrade and maintain club facilities to support player and spectator experience
Objectives:
▪ Develop a facility improvement plan (e.g., pitch quality, clubhouse amenities).
▪ Secure funding or partnerships for facility enhancements.
▪ Regularly review and maintain facilities to ensure they meet standards.

▪ Commit to attend regular training sessions
▪ Be punctual to training and matches
▪ Text or phone if you cannot attend
▪ Always prepare to perform at your best
▪ Encourage your teammates to do the same
▪ Set up regular training sessions and workshops for players
B. Junior Cricket Development
Initiative: Focus to nurture young talent from junior age

▪ Have at least one juniors team ready to compete from season 2025-26
▪ Design age-specific training programs
▪ Collaborate with local schools, community and Cricket Victoria to organise Blast Program
▪ Create pathways for progression from junior to senior teams

Initiative: Promote female participation in game of cricket

▪ Have at least one girls team ready to compete from season 2025-26
▪ Bring 5-12 year old girls into cricket and inspire a love for the game
